The Iranian
The tortured souls in Bijan Sharif's paintings are in sharp contrast
to the happy faces on his puppets. Sharif has made 46 puppets for children's
theater and TV programs in Iran. But what he has offered adults is anything
but the sweet and innocent world of children. It's more terrifying than
the opposite.
