By Roshan Houshmand
May 30, 2000
Roshan Houshmand was born to an American mother and an Iranian father.
She grew up in the Philippines, Iran and the U.S. She now lives in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. So you can see why there is so much diversity in her style.
Being from "nowehere and everywhere" has its advantages. Look
at the painting on the top of the page. It does something to you -- no
matter where you're from.
Houshmand's work will be on display at "Beyond Boundaries"
exhibition in conjunction with the Iranian Women's Studies Foundation conference
at the Worth Ryder Gallery, University of California, Berkeley, from June
10 to July 1, 2000.
