    The Iranian

    June Craze

    Milky spiraling smoke sets
smelling a damp bitter scent with Jack
playing the misty tunnels riding up
    .........up high
    ...........................above our crowns

then down to the motor fountain

    it never stops.

    So we raise the volume
the dark side of the moon
    and the dwarfs

the red slippers don't cross the borders
    "There's no place like home."
    "Where?"......... "Home."

    home.........HOME.........H....O....M....E
    where?
the town of walnuts and love.
    white love
    blue love dusty love
    which we never consider sentimental

    records and off-white walls
the little devil with no fangs or horns?
and the ten inch TV color, but ten inch
(the VCR icon won't go away)

"I'm swimming with my boots on."
    across the pool
    in the Jacuzzi
    at.........H....O....M....E
    while driving

    but he's always there
    in my engine
    in my stereo
    in my sleep
    at work
    at lunch.........I'll have tacos
    (he hates pot-stickers)
    they taste bad

    I don't sing
    I'm scared when I'm done
    but I'm not done yet.
