Britain and France have retired the famous aircraft after 27 years of service. When it was first introduced, the stylish supersonic bird was highly sought after. We see the Shah in the early '70s behind Concorde's controls and promising to buy two -- a promise not kept because of the plane's rising cost. Amir Amirani's documentary for BBC's Timewatch coincided with Concorde's final commercial flights from New York landed at Heathrow. (English). Festival index
