A Foreign Poem shows a woman covered in (her own?) hand-written poetry inside a room with a window. When a male companion shows up at her door, she runs to cover her whole body. A Foreign Poem was shot on Super 8 to create a dream-like atmosphere. To intensify that quality, Hossein Fazeli later projected the film on a wall and shot it again on video. The film uses the voice of Afghan actor Sahraa Karimi, who is the subject of "", another film by Fazeli. Festival index
