Dealing with Ali Akbar
By Banafsheh Zand
This morning, as usual I logged onto Iranian.com to be confronted with
the article
on Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Haven't we had it with this murdering
thief's grandstanding? Why is he not being held accountable for his sins?
Why are he and his lout offsprings being allowed to run for office again?
This man condemned Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's regime of things HE HIMSELF
has shamelessly carried out. How are he and his clan able to continue wreaking
havoc on an already bereft nation?
Rafsanjani, his friends and family are answerable to a country whose
economy resembles Germany during the depression. These people are obligated
to a people who are emotionally and psychologically depleted and economically
devastated.
We should fight with every means necessary to remove this blight. I'm
not by any means proposing that he be dealt with in the same manner he
and his henchmen dealt with their victims. The most perfect form of retribution
in his case is to let him traipse freely, destitute -- treated like the
village idiot. Oh no, don't kill the man, ridicule and taunt him but don't
touch him. It's time he got a taste of his own medicine.
