Mah o Palang February 23, 2001 Mah o Palang (The Moon and the Leopard) written and directed by Bijan Mofid, was first seen at the Shiraz International Festival of Arts in 1967. In 1983, while living in Los Angeles, Mofid substantially rewrote the play and produced it as he had originally conceived it without the constraints of censorship. In the later version, the animals who inhabit the mountain are replaced by people involved in events surrounding the fall of Mossadegh. -- Zara Houshmand * Act
