Iran's External Debt At $13.09 Bln In June - Ctrl Bk
September 27, 1999, TEHRAN (Dow Jones Newswires) -- Iran's external
debt stood at $13.09 billion in June at the end of Iran's first quarter,
according to a report by the Central Bank of Iran.
The Iranian year starts March 21.
At the end of the last Iranian year, the country's external debt stood
at $14.09 billion, but $998 million was paid off in the first quarter.
Of the total debt, $5.77 billion is short-term debt, and $7.32 billion
is medium- or long-term debt, the central bank newsletter said.
The level of external debt that will mature this year stands at $5.21
billion.
