IARC Semi-Annual National Convention
The Iranian American Republican Council's semi-annual convention will
be held in Washington DC September 29th and 30th. The highlight of the
event is a briefing session organized by the National Republican Congressional
Committee (NRCC) for the benefit of IARC members and guests.
This briefing will cover issues pertaining to Iranian Americans as well
as Iran-related topics, and will include a panel discussion with several
U.S. Congressmen and Senators. IARC has also pre-scheduled appointments
with other members of Congress the following day.

Fundraiser for Rob Sobhani's run for the Senate
The Iranian American Republican Council is pleased to announce its second
fund-raising event for Dr. Rob Sobhani, the first Iranian American to run
for U.S. Senate, representing the State of Maryland.
The first meet-and-greet and fundraising event was held in Houston,
Texas and attended by over 100 supporters. Dr. Sobhani is the President
of Caspian Energy and a Professor at Georgetown University .

The reception for Dr. Sobhani will be held at Friday October 22, 1999 from
7:00-10:30 p.m. at Lavash Bistro, Four Embarcadero Center, San Francisco,
CA (Street level).
