The Iranian
"Born in Persia, Hooshang earned his BFA at Tehran University.
He lived in Spain for eight years, then came to the United States to visit
his brother who was living here.
"That trip to the U.S. was an important one. In addition to seeing
his brother, it was here that he met and ultimately married a lovely American,
Sallie Rose Hollis.
"Today Hooshang is a U.S. citizen living in Louisiana, Sallie's
home state, where he creates his paintings in a studio full of light and
