U.S. senator to speak on Iran
The American Iranian Council (AIC) is pleased to announce that Senator
Arlen Specter (Republican, Pennsylvania) has accepted an invitation from
AIC Chairman Ambassador Robert Pelletreau to speak about Iran and the upcoming
Iranian elections.
Senator Specter will speak at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2000
in Room 2168 in the Rayburn House Office Building. Senator Specter's comments
will be part of an event ("The Iranian Elections and the Future")
from 8:00 a.m. until noon which AIC has co-organized with the Iranian Trade
Association.
Members of AIC and members of the AIC board and advisory council will
not be charged to attend this event and can register on the day of the
