Call for writers: Women's erotica
Call for submissions
February 2001
A collection of erotica entitled "Beneath the Hajab: Moslem Women
Write Erotica" is currently being assembled by author/anthologist
Mitzi Szereto for print publication.
The goal of this collection is to offer an exploration of Moslem women's
sexuality through literary expression. Here is an opportunity to break
the silence of sexual repression (whether perceived or real) for a much-misunderstood
group.
Submissions are welcome from Moslem women from all countries and races
and can consist of short fiction stories and true accounts. (The use of
a pseudonym is acceptable.) Since this will be a collection of upscale
erotica, both the writing style and content should be reflective of this.
The stories may be of any sexual orientation and of any length within
reason. Previously published material and/or book excerpts will be considered,
providing you have the rights or can get the rights. (Please indicate where
and when published, plus current rights status.)
Submission requirements: Submit stories in typewritten hard copy. Manuscripts
not chosen will be discarded, so please do not send your only copy. Include
with your submission a brief author bio and your e-mail address.
E-mail submissions will be accepted ONLY if the sender is located in
a country in which such a mailing might result in possible criminal prosecution.
If you have any questions, e-mail: WordDabbler@yahoo.com
Mail submissions to: M. Szereto 114 Graylawn Ave., Suite D Petaluma,
