Area - Shelter 24 Direction: From I-440, take Hwy 70 West (Glenwood Ave.).
Then take Hwy 50 North (Creedmoor Rd.). After passing Hwy 98 and the bridge
over Falls Lake, turn right into Beverdam Recreational Area. From I-85
- Take Hwy 50 South to Falls Lake, turn left into Beverdam Recreational
Area. Bring your food, fruits and sodas. Kanoon will provide Paper Plates,

the University of Pittsburgh invites all Iranian students and international
friends to our annual Nowrooz festival to be held at 7:30 PM on April 17,
2001, at 2m56 Posvar Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Program for
the evening will include Iranian snacks and refreshments, dancing and singing
performances, and dancing to Persian and Near Eastern music. Admission

The AIC Noruz festivities begin with a conference on the 107th Congress
and Iran. AIC has received a greetings statement from President Bush for
the Nowruz celebration. The speakers this year include Ambassador Hadi
Nejad Hosseinian (Iran UN), Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), Congressman Bob
Ney (R-OH), and Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA)

Noruz at Kennedy Center
To celebratte the Iranian new year or "No Ruz", I am honored
and delighted to have been invited again for another musical performance
on the Millennium stage of the Kennedy Center,
on Saturday March 24 between 6 and 7 pm. This event is free. The first
portion will be by my students who are now part of "Nava"- Young
Iranian players ensemble. The second portion will be performed by Dr. Hooshang
Hodjati (vocal), Dr. Ali Reza Analouei (tombak), my son Arya (violin),
and myself (santur). I hope those of you who live within reasonable distance
could make it, and please share this event with all your contacts. I have
attached some documents which I hope you be able to open. See you there.
