Magic Fat Burning Soup

Ingredients

- 6 large green onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1 or 2 large cans of tomato / or fresh tomato
- 2 cans green beans (low salt, drained) / or fresh green beans
- carrots
- 2 stalks of celery
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 package Lipton onion soup mix
- If desired: season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley, Worchester, Tabasco, bouillon, etc.

Cut vegetables in small to medium pieces and cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Cut to a simmer and continue cooking until vegetables are tender. This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want, anytime of the day. This soup will not add calories; the more you eat, the more you lose. If eaten alone for indefinite periods, you would suffer malnutrition. Fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.

DAY ONE: On the first day you can eat all the fruits you want EXCEPT BANANAS. Cantaloupe and watermelons are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only your soup and fruits on the first day.

DAY TWO: All vegetables. Along with your soup, eat as much fresh, green leaf vegetables as you want, raw or cooked, NO DRY BEANS, PEAS, OR CORN. At dinnertime, reward yourself with a BIG BAKED POTATO with butter. NO FRIUTS.

DAY THREE: Mix day one and day two. Eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables you want but NO POTATO. *** At the end of the third day, if you have NOT CHEATED, you should have lost 5 to 7 pounds. ***

DAY FOUR: Bananas and skim milk. Along with your soup, eat as many four bananas and drink all the skim milk that you can. At this stage of your diet your body will need potassium, carbohydrates, protein and calcium to lessen your cravings for sweets. Bananas and milk provide that, together with needed calories.

DAY FIVE: Beef and tomato (chicken or fish can be substituted for beef). You may have 10 to 20 oz of beef and a can of tomato or as many as six fresh tomato. Drink at least six glasses of water to wash away the uric acid in your body. Eat your soup at least once on this day.

DAY SIX: Beef and veggies. Eat to your heart content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have two to three steaks, if you like, with green leaf of vegetables, but NO POTATO. Be sure to eat your soup at least once on this day.

DAY SEVEN: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices, and vegetables. Again, stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least twice.

At the end of the seventh day, if you have NOT CHEATED on this diet, you should have lost from 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds stay OFF the diet for two days before resuming the diet from day one.

This seven-day eating plan can be used as often as you like. As a matter of fact, if correctly followed, it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being as never before. After only a few days you will begin to feel lighter by 10 to 17 pounds and have an abundance of energy. Continue this plan for as long as you wish and feel the difference.

Because everyone's digestive system is different, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day three you will have more energy than when you began, if you do NOT CHEAT. After being on the diet for several days you will experience a change in your bowl movement. Eat a cup of BRAN & FIBER.

Although you can have black coffee, you will find that after the third day you will not need caffeine. DEFINITELY NO BREAD, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, CARBONATED BEVERAGES, NOT EVEN DIET DRINK. Drink water, unsweetened tea, black coffee, unsweetened fruit juices, cranberry juice. Skim milk on the days prescribed.

The basic at burning soup can be eaten at any time and as much as you want, as often as you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat the more you lose, NO FRIED FOODS OR BREAD.

You may substitute broiled or baked chicken (absolutely NO SKIN) instead of meat. This diet DOES NOT interfere with any prescribed medication. Continue this plan for as long as you wish and you will see the difference in your mental and physical disposition. You may substitute fish for meat on ONLY ONE of the prescribed days. You will need the high protein content of beef on the other.

This diet comes from the SACRED HEART MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. It is prescribed for overweight heart patients who need to lose weight rapidly, usually before surgery.
