Help Internet connection in deprived areas
The Science and Arts Foundation
was founded by Professor Abbas Edalat on March 1st, 1999 at Imperial College,
London. The foundation's executive director in Iran is Yahya Tabesh, Director
of the Computer Center at Sharif University of Technology.
SAF is non-profit independent organisation. Its general policy is to
select model state schools in deprived areas of Iran and provide them with
modern computer sites and Internet access. In its first year of activities
in Iran, SAF completed this project for 19 schools in Tehran, Shahre-Ray
and Varamin.
SAF needs your support to continue and broaden its campaign. You can
join SAF's local support committee or can help in setting up a new committee
in your town. Your voluntary work, ideas and comments are warmly welcome.
SAF also accepts donations, and has a generous donor who matches every
Dollar you donate. Any amount you contribute will therefore be doubled
and spent entirely on the computer site projects in Iran. SAF is a registered
charity in the US, UK, and Canada.
