California governor appoints another Iranian-American
December 24, 1998, (Iranian-American Republican Council) - Governor
Pete Wilson has announced the appointment of Dr. Badi Badiozamani, Ph.D.
to the State Joint Venture Advisory Board for a 4 year term.
Dr. Badiozamani's duties as the sole private sector representative on
the Board will be to attempt to improve the California State prisons by
encouraging the private sector to provide employment for inmates during
their sentence, therby affording them vocational training that may be used
when they re-enter the society.
Dr. Badiozamani, who is a writer and translator, is the CEO of U.S.Consulting
Group, Inc. and president of Badi Translation & Insurance Agency.
He is also the Editor of the English section of Hamsayegan publication.
Dr. Badiozamani, who is a past president of the San Diego chapter of the
Iranian-American Republican Council, has also received two appointments
from the Mayor of San Diego, Susan Golding to serve on the San Diego International
Affairs Board and Small Business Advisory Board.
