Call For Papers: The Third Biennial Conference on Iranian Studies, May
25-28, 2000, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Bethesda, MD; organized by the American
Institute of Iranian Studies (AIIrS) and The Society for Iranian Studies
(SIS)
The American Institute of Iranian Studies (AIIrS) and the Society for
Iranian Studies (SIS) are pleased to announce the Third Biennial Conference
on Iranian Studies, to be held in the greater Washington DC area, May 25-28,
2000. The Conference is envisioned as an arena for the latest research
in the field of Iranian Studies, and will cover all areas of the field
most broadly conceived, inclusive of all disciplines and all historical
periods.
Proposals in fields such as archeology, art history, and the arts are
particularly welcome. AIIrS and SIS invite submissions of individual paper
abstracts from experts all over the world. Abstracts must be limited
to 250-300 words, and must present a succinct outline of the papers central
theme and main argument. They must be received no later than September
30, 1999 at the following address (an additional email copy of the abstract
is welcome):
