Two Parsi children chat outside a temple in Bombay with walls depicting
Persian soldiers from ancient Iran August 22, 2000. The Parsis are followers
of a religion called Zoroastrianism, which is one of the oldest religions
on earth, founded by the prophet Zoroaster in the 6th or 7th century BC.
They fled to India to escape persecution in Persia and their numbers are
steadily decreasing. The Parsis celebrated Parsi New Year on August 21.
