Hostages
One of 52 American hostages, hands bound and blindfolded, is displayed

photo. Some of the militant Iranian students who seized the embassy in
the Iranian capital flank the hostage. On Jan.20. 2001, it will be twenty
years since the last American diplomat set foot inside the former U.S.
embassy in Tehran, the decaying hulk of the sprawling walled compound is
still officially known as the "nest of spies" where 52 Americans
were held hostage for 444 days.
