* Turkey to seek postponement of Iranian natural gas exports
ANKARA, Jan 6 (AFP) - A Turkish delegation will go to Iran on Monday
in a bid to postpone the delivery of Iranian natural gas until next year
because the pipeline to carry the gas is not yet complete, an official
from Turkey's state-run oil company BOTAS said Thursday. "BOTAS general
director Gokhan Yardim and his delegation will try to sign an agreement
for Iran to start exporting gas to Turkey in 2001," the official said

TEHRAN, Jan 4 (AFP) - Iran wants to revive its tourism industry, attracting
visitors to such scenic sites as Isfahan and Persepolis after 20 years

* Iran stocks up 30 percent in 1999 on oil, economy
TEHRAN, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Iranian stocks gained nearly 30 percent in
1999, reversing two years of losses thanks to a surge in oil prices and
renewed optimism about the economy, traders said on Sunday. The Tehran
Stock Exchange all-share index closed at 1,989.73 points on Wednesday,

* Non-oil exports up 10 percent in last nine months
TEHRAN, Jan 3 (AFP) - Iran's non-oil exports rose 10.7 percent in the
last nine months to 2.3 billion dollars, compared to the same period the
previous year, according to official customs statistics published Monday.
Carpets as usual were the main non-oil export item, contributing 544 million
dollars in the period, followed by petrochemicals (301 million dollars),
pistachio nuts (243 million dollars), steel (144 million dollars), copper
(76 million dollars) and clothing (37 million dollars), the official IRNA
