Moroccan prime minister to make first visit to Iran
TEHRAN, Jan 12 (AFP) - Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi will make
the first visit to Iran by a Moroccan head of government since the Islamic
revolution on Tuesday, the Iranian foreign ministry said Friday. Youssoufi,

Starving Afghan refugees receive aid from Iran
KUNDUZ REFUGEE CAMP, Afghanistan, Jan 12 (AFP) - Some 13,000 refugees,
huddled in a makeshift camp on the Afghan-Tajik border, received some relief
from misery and starvation with the Thursday shipment of humanitarian aid
from Iran. 40 tonnes of flour, butter, canned food and blankets were handed
over to the refugees, who fled the advancing Taliban army and are now suffering

Iran wants to be consulted on all negotiations concerning the Caspian
Sea
TEHRAN, Jan 11 (AFP) - Iran reminded Russia and its neighbours around
the Caspian Sea Thursday that it wants to be consulted on the sharing of
the sea's resources and stressed that the agreements drawn up between Iran
and the former Soviet Union still applied. "A new set of rules for
the Caspian must take into account the current arrangements, but for now
only the 1921 and 1940 agreements (between Iran and the Soviet Union) apply,
and no other arrangement outside those agreements is acceptable,"
said the official IRNA news agency, quoting "an informed source"
