* Oil sags on glut despite Iraq clash
LONDON, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Oil prices sagged under the weight of global
oversupply on Wednesday despite a fresh clash between producer Iraq and
U.S. and British warplanes. Benchmark Brent crude for February delivery
closed 13 cents down at $10.48 a barrel. Prices declined after neutral
U.S. storage data released overnight failed to excite buyers, traders said.
Mild weather in northern Europe also played its part in dampening winter
demand in an enfeebled market buried under a mountain of stored oil ...

* Oil gains appear fragile as OPEC bickers
LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices rose Tuesday on fresh U.S.-Iraq tension,
but the gains looked brittle amid signs of deepening disarray within the
OPEC producer club. International benchmark Brent crude from the North
Sea was trading 35 cents higher at $10.46 a barrel by late morning, almost

reach 48,000-50,000 mw within 10 years, deputy head of tavanir company
(iran's power generation and transmission company) masood hojjat said here

* Iran backs OPEC talks to rescue oil price
DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran Sunday said it would back any new moves to rescue
the besieged oil market but warned that some fellow OPEC producers were
using Tehran's controversial demands to mask other problems in the fractious

* Iran economic woes hit tax-fee Kish island-IRNA
TEHRAN, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Many Iranian holiday-makers, hit by an economic
slowdown after a slump in oil prices, are staying away from Iran's duty-free
island of Kish in the Persian Gulf. Kish airport head Hassan Baniadam,
quoted by Iran's news agency IRNA on Monday, said most flights to the holiday
and shopping island were cancelled at the weekend due to the low number
