    The Iranian

    Almost every weekend I get together with three or four friends in Mountain View, south of San Francisco. After an afternoon of tennis and a big lunch at one of the Iranian restaurants, we end up at someone's apartment. And all through the night we sit around and sing, with Anoosh, Mehrdad and Shahrokh playing the guitar. We sing mostly Beatles songs. But if we're Beatle fans, Anoosh is a fanatic. He posters of the Fab Four all over his bedroom and he has every Beatles album and book you can imagine.

    Last September he traveled to Europe with Ariasb and Mukund. They bought an Eurorail pass and stopped in several major cities. But what counted most was England, the home of the Beatles. Here are pictures from that trip in Anoosh's photo album. What frequently caught my eye were the many symbols, signs and things we want to be associated with.
