I think these nude and suggestive images will get the site some more publicity and viewership but then WHAT?! The best way to increase the number of comments and clicks is to turn into a porn site JJ. Otherwise, this type of blog ruins the years of hard work you put in this to become a source of "quality" and "rare" exchanges about "substantive" issues affecting the Persian community. I know you may consider this picture "Quality" but it's definitely not "rare" or "substantive." What is the mission of I.com anyway? "Nothing is Sacred" doesn't mean "everything" or "every garbage" goes. or does it?

Okay, Jahanshah and the moralists, there's a simple solution.

There are two separate issues here. Should the tits on the homepage be on the homepage and should the picture of the woman ass-backwards be here at all.

The first issue is a non-issue. Tits are everywhere. They have been in European ads since WAY before the I'net. They are in ads in the States now even IF the woman is supposedly clad--some skimpy little nylon thing with her nipples sticking out like flagpoles. So if you don't want your kids to see tits, IRI or Saudi Arabia is a good place to live.

As for the content itself, in these discussions people always say, this is what the site is SUPPOSED to be..SHOULD be..and J. keeps saying it's an adult site so it is whatever he says it is and the naysayers on the erotica are a vocal but MINORITY opinion. anyway.(And after Hajiagha and all the rest this should be clear by now..)

this being said, their opinion should MATTER because if conservative people leave, that diminishes the diversity of the site, and also "nothing is sacred  INCLUDING nothing is sacred..

The SIMPLE SOLUTION is for Foaad to devise an optional filter system that would block access to any erotic materials,which J. would decide should be blocked before publishing them, to "protect" the children. I wrote this on a recent wish list blog where the author had voiced such concerns. 

Of course that would pose a new problem for the parents because then how would they get to see all the good stuff, but they probably have their own laptops and anyway there's always the library... ;oP

LOL. I have some comments regarding the picture:

1)  What are 9-year-olds doing on this site? I know some who have the mentality of one but that is another discussion. Real 9-year-olds would not touch the site with a 3 meter long stick.

2)  9-year-olds accidentally reaching the page will probabely at most smile and continue their search for real porn.

3) Ghazvini 9-year-olds will add this to their sexual education handbook.

4)  It must be American 9-year-olds you are talking about. European 9-year-olds would send a reply discussing viability of the transformation and the practical difficulties facing the woman not to mention such a violation of her "human rights."  An American 9-year-old, on the other hand, will probabely just get confused and frustrated, take his daddy's gun and shoot every girl in his school who doesn't look like the picture. For him sex is bad, violence is glorified.

P.S.  We had such a laugh over Americans' reaction to Janet Jackson revealing her tits. In Europe, there is hardly a soap commercial without some nice-looking cherries, but rarely a black woman's so it was kind of refreshing. LOL

My Worries
