People like Iraj have good heart but are missing a key concept. They define themselves as what they are against and not what they are for.
He thinks he is "anti imperialist" fine. But what are you for? What do you want to build?
So long as you let political leaders to frame themselves as "anti-xxx" he will play up the act. If you think of him as for any rational goal, then you will see that him as a failure.
You see Iraj type thinking in US all the time. Someone might be passionatly against Abortion as it kills the unborn. But because they got there just because thery are against something, the same person would see no contradiction when they support wars. Had they arrived at anti abortion stand for saving lives, they would also been against war and for universal health care.
Aren't you enjoying putting your cartoons somewhere that you have the freedom of getting your message through, while your so called "anti-imperiallist" Ahmadinejad did not give the basic rights of freedom of speech to his people? That means if you are in Iran or outside of Iran, your "nafas" is coming out of "Jaye Garm" va baa "kheyal-e-raahat"...i
I think you could have put a Visa card in his back pocket to indicate the financial support that this separatist movement is getting from foreign countries.
Ok Iraj, on a online community of Iranians most of whom hate Ahmadinejad you are trying to convince us that the Green movement is ripping out unity, or as your previous cartoons weakening his Govenrment so that Iran could be invaded by USA or Israel, and here demonstrated by a green scarved youth standing on the flag and ripping the Green from the rest. For most of us this is an Ahmadinejad message that only exists in a La La land.
Unlike Ahmadinejad, this is a democratic community and we welcome all political stands!
Good luck, keep on drawing the cartoons, at least we enjoy them for the Artistic POV and the debate that they generate, and if your ink dries out let us know so that we send you a new supply!
Finally I wish you the best for "Happy Ahmadinejad day", enjoy the festivity while it lasts for this one day!
This is not an accurate way of seeing what's going on! Please do not feed into the efforts that are being made every day to put rivalry between the different people who oppose the hardliners. It's counter productive and very damaging.
United will never be defeated? You mean basijis are the one united and will not be defeated? And bad guys like green movement are destroying our flag? so let them be slaughtered? Vali az hem chi gozashteh, the green guy looks very "khoush teep"!!!
To me, with all do respect to your caricatures, and I like a lot of what you draw, is the other way around. The Green Movement is attaching the green back to the flag which is ripped by A.N.
Don't tell me what you are against, tell me what are you for!
