Ali Dizaei

UK Metropolitan police commander found guilty

The Guardian: The Metropolitan police commander Ali Dizaei was jailed for four years today after being convicted of falsely arresting a man and making up an account that he had been assaulted and threatened. A jury at Southwark crown court today found the 47-year-old guilty of misconduct in public office and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Dizaei, a controversial and high-profile officer, faces being sacked from the force in disgrace. The jury took two hours and 31 minutes to reach its unanimous verdicts. As the verdict was announced, Dizaei, once tipped as a future commissioner of the Metropolitan police, stood motionless in the dock. He stared in the direction of the jury. They did not glance back. In between the verdict and sentencing Dizaei was able to leave the dock to hug and kiss his wife, Shy. The offences he has been convicted of carry a maximum of life imprisonment >>>

I have no sympathy for the commentators here implying this guy was not at fault.   He knew very well they were looking for any excuse to nail his hairy a***e, yet he went on to abuse his position.

Mr. Fozolie

obama

Harsh sentence is because he is Iranian! Of course it is racist!

by obama on

They wouldn't dare giving such a sentence in 2 hours to a jew, since they know that they would be all over them by calling them "ant-izionist!" which is bunch of bull.  But, we not only support him, we humiliate him in the eyes of the BBC!

Jews protect their own against the outsiders, but what do we do? If we don't defend him, at least don't trash him out of self preservation and respect for our own whether you like him or not! After all he is a cop!

BehroozAzarin

There has been thousands

by BehroozAzarin on

There has been thousands of cases that people were shot to death wrongfully by police in America and many are falsely arrested, beaten,  jailed, served life sentences and even executed and in 99% of the cases the officers were never jailed even for one day.  The same goes on in England.  Most definitely Ali Dizaei got a harsh sentence because he is Iranian and his name is Ali.  That is western justice.

Whats the problem? LOL

by Sardar Assad on

Lets spell this out now- He is an Iranian, an ex police commander, given a four year jail sentence. His jail mates no doubt wont like ex police commanders so much...In my book that a BIG problem. He is not gonna have a good time in jail is he?

Siamack Baniameri

What's the problem?!

by Siamack Baniameri on

The guy has a PhD, he is a bodybuilder, loudmouth, didn't take shit from Brits, intimidated anybody who didn't like his antics, was described as Iranian Tony Montana and kick some Arab guy's ass for screwing up his website. Now, what's the problem here?

anglophile

Dizaei is a victim

by anglophile on

There are - and there were -  policemen in uniform who are/were equally if not more corrupt and criminal than Dr Dizaei is portrayed. They are either free or have got away with much less name calling and lighter punishment. Why? They were white, blue-eyed and fair. As people of Iranian ethnicity we should not bask in such otherwise humiliating news. .
