Special thanks to our partner company Kodoom.com for making this happen.
Introducing the new Events section
Featured events will be displayed prominently on Iranian.com and Kodoom.com. You can turn a regular (free) event listing into a featured one at Kodoom.com.
Introducing the new Events section
Once you click on "Add a new Event" you'll be taken to the Kodoom site where you can enter event information and contacts.
Introducing the new Events section
Do you have your own upcoming event? You can add it to the collection. You have to be logged into your Iranian.com account to be able to do this. Basic event listing is free.
Introducing the new Events section
You can also list events by date. If you click on a date in the calendar box on the left, the system shows you a list of events in your area that start on that date or later, sorted by date. Here I'm looking at events for January 23rd.
Introducing the new Events section
Here I switch to classes/workshops in the New York area. There are four upcoming events that fit that description. Note that a general list of events is right underneath the top selected list.
Introducing the new Events section
You can further narrow down the list of events, by clicking on categories. Every event is associated with one or more categories. If you click on the category of your choice in the "Categories" box on the left, you get those events associated with that choice. If you have already typed in a location or keyword, then, you get a narrower list. Here, I'm looking at upcoming pop concert/party events in the New York area.
Introducing the new Events section
To reset back to defaults at anytime, just click on the language links at the top. Here, I clicked on "Events in English" and typed in a new location: "New York".
Introducing the new Events section
If you want events in a different area, just type it in the "Where?" box. Be as specific as possible, but it's smart enough to understand in most cases, even if you're not specific. For example you can type in "Atlanta, GA", or "Dubai" or "Germany". Here, I typed in "Vancouver" and it's showing me events in that area -- that are submitted in Persian.
Introducing the new Events section
Here I clicked on Persian. Now it's showing me events in my area that have been submitted in Persian.
Introducing the new Events section
The first thing you should do is choose your language. Leave it as default in English or click on Persian. The main page will automatically show upcoming events in your area. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, so the events above are showing on my browser.
Introducing the new Events section
To get to the EVENTS section, just click on the new tab on top of the front page.
