Early celebration

Students at San Francisco State University's Iranian Culture Club organized an entertaining show for Norooz Friday night, March 7. The sold-out crowd enjoyed a beautiful and moving surprise performance by the great songwriter Anoushirvan Rohani [Video] and hillarious stand-up comedy by the loveable Maz Jobrazi [Video clips: (1) (2) (3) (4)]. San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and Immigrant Rights Commissioner Elaheh Ensani also spoke and wished everyone an early happy new year. ICC student organizers include Shiela Rahimian Aurash Alavi, Kasra Varzaghani, Sepeedeh Cigarchi, Mehran Ebrahimi, Leila Kimiagar and Reza Hashemzadeh.
