Radioactive toons

Cartoons in Boston Globe & Le Monde

by Guive Mirfendereski
15-Aug-2008

Recently, I acquired a scanner and am for the first time able to spend endless hours digitizing pictures and maps and stuff that I like to send around to folks. The enclosed are several of the newspaper cartoons that I have collected since 2003 that have something to do with the state of Iran-US non-relations. So, I figured instead of writing about the recent package offer to Iran, I just share what I have had pinned along the edge of my bookshelf for all these years. The West wants Iran to suspend enrichment, which is its lawful right to do, in return for the West to suspend seeking more sanctions, which stem from "might make right" and are really without any legal rationale. I think the best cartoon for this situation is a Persian bilakh! How do you scan a bilakh?

Thank you for the humor! I don't know about how to scan a bilakh. From experimentations I have seen others do with scanning or photocopying other body parts, I would say don't do it! See if you could use this!

Please come back and write for us again soon.

Great to see you here!

These cartoons are some of the best I've ever seen, thanks. I'm still hoping to read more of you though, in writing. I seriously thought that your synthetic turf article was your came back piece. Sending these cartoons may be dast garmi too which is fine!

Agha, koja rafti?

I haven't seen much from you in a while. Maybe I haven't been looking in the right places.

I read about your position concerning synthetic turf. Great stuff. I only wish it received greater exposure so that more people can see that junk for what it really is.
