Shahr, shahr e tehran. I hate it when there, but love it with all my heart. No place like Tehran

You have captured so much

by ramintork on

You have captured the urban jungle of Tehran with its pollution, lyricism, graffiti, humour of paradoxical imagery, rustiness, neglect, cruelty and all its beauty.

I liked the images of

torn off "Doroog Mamnoo"

The two young women from the side mirror

The humour of the graffiti

The contrast of toiled hands of the boy wearing a torn Addidas coat and collecting dried bread

Snowy streets with their water colour like beauty

Nice range of topics.  I particularly enjoyed the street scenes on this essay.  Maybe because I wish I were there.

The Seventeen Heartbreak

by Nazy Kaviani on

I think what fascinates me most about photography is that when I see something through the lens of an expert photographer, even if I have seen the same subject myself a hundred times, I can suddenly see new details, things I hadn't seen before. Sometimes the things I can only see through another person's lens is a delightful surprise. Sometimes it's a heartbreak. Number 17 is a heartbreak, no doubt about it.

Heartbreak or delight, Mr. Davoodi's photographs are absolutely some of the most thought provoking I have seen of my beloved Tehran. Thank you.
