در پديده ی موسوم به «همگرايي بخشی از جنبش زنان» می بينيم که زنان پديد آورنده ی آن از کانديداهای رياست جمهوری «مطالبه ی حقوق» کرده اند. روشن است که اين حق دموکراتيک اين زنان است که چنين خواستی را با چنان کانديداهایی مطرح سازند. اما طرفه آن است که برخی از اين زنان حاضر نيستند بپذيرند که ديگران هم حق دارند موضع گيری و برخورد آن ها را ـ آن هم در جريان انتخاباتی غير دموکراتيک ـ نقد کنند. به راستی چرا بخشی از جنبش زنان حق ندارد به بخش ديگر اين جنبش بگويد «خواست شما در زير سقف حکومت اسلامی، به خصوص آنجا که سخن از پذيرش کنوانسيون رفع تبعيض "با حفظ موازين اسلامی" پيش می آيد تخفيف و پايين آوردن حق زنان است؟» و به راستی چرا باور ندارند که ديگرانی هم حق دارند که بگويند: «اين مطالبه و آن پاسخگويي از جانب کانديداها يعنی درجا زدن در قوانين موجود >>>

The secretary at Internal Affairs led Molson to Officer Davis’s office. He was rather old but still stood ramrod. He sported an out-dated moustache. “What can I do for you, sir?” the man asked. He was fair with brown eyes. He reminded Molson of his own father. Molson hoped his looks matched his personality. “I am here to complain about Officer Robert Campbell. Do you know him?” “Yes I do.” The man was quick in his response. “He is one of our finer policemen.” “I am afraid not, sir,” Molson said. “I’m here to file a complaint against him.” “On what account?” The man’s voice didn’t change. “He displayed racism in his encounter with me.” Molson repeated the sentence Kasra had taught him. >>>
