In 1978 and 1979 the world media was mostly taking its cue from the BBC. In fact the Communists controlled a large part of labour force in the Iranian oil industry. The Communists would fax their time table to the BBC and they would promptly broadcast it. BBC put Khomeini in power.That is not happening now. The opposite is true and the BBC loves the Ayatollahs. The world media broadcasts the Ayatollahs’ supporters marches and the fake opposition that still want the Islamic Republic but with new turbans in power. No one is reporting the real oppositions’ activities. Maybe the silent majority will get a mention in Nowruz.
