I didn't come running back into my language and my people for nothing. Years ago, I found my Farsi in shambles, and I couldn't even remember when eid e noruz occurred. But after reading Molana with my father on some random day about three years ago, I had a certain feeling. It called me and pulled me back to my people, my language and my history. And it pulled me back into chelo kabob, unsurprisingly.

"The Poot" recently was selected and screened at IDFA (Amsterdam International Documentary Films Festival) in the Netherlands. The documentary has also been invited from various Asian and American festivals.

As Prime Minister, Dr. Mossadegh treated the Bahai citizens of Iran just like other citizens of Iran. This is one of the reasons Hojatolislam Falsafi and Ayatollah Behbahani strongly opposed Dr. Mossadegh and supported Mohammad Reza Shah (and the 1953 coup). Falsafi broke with the Shah and sided with Khomeini in 1963 due to the land reforms and female enfranchisement and replacing oath to Qoran with oath to a holy book. Hojatolislam Falsafi was a strong ally of the Shah and strong enemy of Dr. Mossadegh in the 1950s.
