I am confused? fine. You are so clear please tell me which part of my comments bothered you? Look, to me only a donkey falls in the same hole twice. i am not confused because I disagree with IRI and the current so called opposition. And your analysis is wrong to think since I am talking something beyond your understanding, therefore I am a religious person!!!!("to save even YOUR religion"). I am not going to argue with you, read my post again, what I am saying is not against what you are saying, but mine has a logic behind it, yours is just pure emotions. That's useless for me and everyone else.
your writings are full of controdictions which indicate that you are a very confused individual or trying to confuse the issue! Your understanding of patriotism and human rights and their relations with supporting IRI do not have a realistic logic behind them. All the threats that you are mentioning in your posts come from Islamic Republic itself and nothing else. The only way to save your country and even your religion is to remove this criminal regime which has been justifying its crimes by linking victims to imaginary foriegn powerss and it has always been victims who were put on trial.
IF Islamic Republic remains, there will be no peace, no prosperity, no integrity left for Iran. Iran is under threat because of Islamic regime's notorious behavior and their rhetoric against others and their failure to comply with requests from international community. Nature of Islamic Republic is against human rights and humane values and so far, it has been injustice and supression which has been delivered to Iranian people in every street corner in the country. Supporting continuation of a murderous regime which has looted Iranian national wealth and natural resources with the excuse that Bush has said something is most absurd action that anyone can commit. This criminal regime has taken a whole nation as hostage just to fulfill their fanatic intentions. Except for a minor portion who have become wealthy with the help of mullahs, the rest of society is suffering under extreme suppression by this regime which is spending people's money to support and fund terrorism while more than 40% of Iranian are living in bellow povery condition.
What justifies the killing and butchering of Iranians like Mr. Forouhar and his wif in their homes? What justifies raping and kiling Zahra Kazemi or Zahra Bani-Yaqub and many others inside or oudside prisons? what is this nonsense that no one should say anything because Bush has said something that has helped Islamic Republic rhetoric more than anything else?

Yes there has been many. And many have been put to prison for it. The people have benefited from some small changes in their Rights. Even during the Khatami time was good to uprise, and students did. We can't attack the regime when there is a talk of war against our country. I would not want IRI to go and leave me a broken Iran, where the country is divided to many parts, if we are not careful it WILL HAPPEN. But there is no way that something like the IRI can remain as the representative of the Iranian people. Impossible. Because the people are growing and learning what the relation of Islam is to their lives. Something that they could have never known under a secular regime. So the picture is not all black. There are many gray spots in there. --Many Iranians who died during the Iraq war were not pro IRI. We can't risk destroying our country's infrastructure because that belongs to the people of Iran not the government. Smart to me is knowing when is the time to unite, but not just to revolt for the sake of change, and put our history at the mercy of chance. We need to have direction and logical steps along with a proper Constitution that dictates how the people will gain while this regime will change. Also NO KILLINGS at all. No one should lose their lives, whether they were IRI or Islamists...whatever. Every part of the nation should have the Rights to represent their party. Hopefully maturity of the Iranians will kick in and gradually form a true opposition, not the circus that exist today. Up until then, we just have to wait. Change for the sake of change, the price of blood for revolution is not good enough for the Iranian people. To expect the trauma without having a clear plan is stupid and absurd. Issue of the Human Rights is not going to be solved under these conditions, where many Iranians are living under the poverty line and believe that Mehdi will help them in the time of needs. The problem is not IRI alone, but the socio-cultural that has been dominating our country. With a proper opposition that speaks the language of the people based on Iranian culture and developed traditions, these all can change. Without it, forget it. You can only dream. there is no silver plate of democracy and Human Rights available ANYWHERE. Those mentioned above are the conditions, That's IT. Otherwise we will have a secular IRI with same or worse Human Rights...That I am sure of.

So XerXes has there been any time within the last 30 years which has been a "good" time to demand anything of this regime? Also, I bet you don't live in Iran and can say these things because you and your mother and sister are not under the "chomagh" of Akhunds. Demanding basic minimum human rights and accountability for billions of Iranian peoples money does not mean we want foreigners to attack. That assumption is stupid!

Only Iranians

Only Iranians have no concept of mihan parasti. Their idea is either to suck the regime IRI or the west. Can't imagine themselves being a respectable human, that's why one side always protects IRI and the other always attacks, irrelevant by the facts that the county is in a grave danger and is experiencing a possible break up, War, and destruction. Only Iranians today are so dumb not to know the right time to fight, defend, and stay calm. They mix all and remain the same regardless of the situation. Could you imagine that Israel could exist if their citizen went after their government for the atrocities that they commit, while fighting the Palestinians? But they wait for the right time then get the government to answer. This was just an example to show that Only Iranians are clueless. I mean Iranians from all over Iran. Iranians should be the joke of the earth, since they are the ones who sell their country for nothing, disregarding the experiences that they MIGHT have learned. They once fell in the hole of IRI and still are willing to have another CHANCE, rather than the certainty of Democratic regime. Only Iranian who have no opposition follows bunch of morons and calls them opposition, as better than nothing replacement. AND FINALLY, only Iranians want a foreign military intervention to "free" Iran. The Joke, The Iranians, The dumb. Hollywood should make a movie about the Iranians. They crack me up. Clueless Iranians, what bunch of pathetic losers.
Demanding human rights while under Bush's threat of war?
I would like to ask Mr. Esfandiari tell us "when" is the appropriate time to ask for human rights?! When in the lifetime of Islamic Republic human rights have ever been respected in Iran by Ilamic government?! What if Islamic regime wants to be under "threat" for ever?! The threat to Islamic regime is not coming from Bush or anyone else outside Iran but from Iranian people who do not want to be ruled by this corrupt regime which has spoiled all their national wealth on useless technology and non-Iranian issues like Palestine and driven the nation to poverty and misery. The excuse of "threat" from this or that does not work any more for mullahs.
Enoungh of murders and abuse against Iranian people in the name of "national security". Enough of killing and raping women for demanding their rights. enought of pushing Iranians to resort to undignified trades for survival. enough of pushing Iranian people to sell their body organs and new borns. enough of external threat nonsense to supress Iranians with the help of Palestinian bullies who do not dare to show their face! Iranian people do not need useless nuclear technology which has costed them $billions while it does not worth a tenth of that! enough of terrorist activities and supporting terrorists by Islamic republic regime!
