I got on a taxi and told the driver that I wanted to visit Xinjiang (Uyghur) Village and have lunch there. The guy told me that the Chinese authority forced the Uyghurs to leave and Xinjiang village does not exist any more. I was very disappointed. I feel Uyghurs are very close to Persians in culture, music, language, cuisine, and religion. I really wanted to meet them! Since Xinjiang village does not exist, I decided to visit Niu Jie (Cow Street) thousand year old Mosque. This is a halal Turfan restaurant on Cow street, a Muslim district.
