The beauty of this Chinese style mosque blew me away. Too bad that I can’t go inside. Niejie (Cow Street) Mosque is the oldest mosque in Beijing. It was first built in 996 AD during the Liao dynasty. The mosque has Chinese exterior and Arabic calligraphy interior. There are 10,000 Muslims living in the Cow street area.
