Iran claims to have captured CIA agent who 'planned to infiltrate intelligence service'

The Iranian authorities say they have captured a CIA spy working for America - the latest in a series of claims attempting to undermine Washington.

The CIA analyst is of Iranian origin and has received sophisticated intelligence training at American military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iranian state media said.

The country's intelligence ministry issued a statement announcing the detention of the unnamed spy infiltrator on state TV, reports Reuters.
