Hate do imagine what kind of fuss would be made if
by Anonymous77 (not verified) on Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:49 AM PDTit had been a woman.
"crazy" dancing = universal appeal
by Niki Tehranchi on Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:11 AM PDTHere is a funny dancing guy from Liverpool, England (yes, people in Europe also like this kind of thing) :-)
what the heck does it have to do with democracy?
by switch to decaf (not verified) on Wed Jul 23, 2008 09:43 AM PDTI don't understand what all the fuss is. What are you talking about, let him be, he is free, we will never have democracy? Are you on the wrong thread by chance? This is a man who is obviously inviting attention to himself and relishing every moment of it by jumping into a circle at a public gathering and engaging in a series of odd, jerky movements that pass as a dance. Maybe he is a performance artist of some kind.
Are the people stoning him or hauling him to jail? No. Are they telling him to go away, he can't dance like that? Far from it, they are actually joining in. Are the people laughing at him? Absolutely! Akheh baba, what do you expect? The guy is funny. He knows it, the audience knows it. This is funny. And he not only does not mind the onlookers, it does not interfere at all with his enjoyment. It has nothing to do with nationality or politics, dictatorship, imprisonment etc.
On a sunny afternoon in the park, a man made a funny dance for a few minutes and everybody laughed. End of story. People chill. Please.
Very charming
by An introvert woman (not verified) on Wed Jul 23, 2008 08:33 AM PDTThese guy's reaction (the ones who are filming the dance) together with some of the comments in here are all a clear proof for why it's going to take many MANY years before the Iranian society can develop into a true free and "democratic" society. If this had occurred in a European country, nobody would even care to film it!
I congratulate the man for being such a free spirit!
Do not
by Sarzamine man (not verified) on Wed Jul 23, 2008 06:19 AM PDTunderestimate this guy as he might one day rule our country, just one look at him I believe he is much wiser and FREE than our leader Seyed Ali Khameni.

Let People Be
by mirzakhan (not verified) on Tue Jul 22, 2008 09:05 PM PDTThis is what is precisely wrong with our culture.
Let the man be. If this is his way of expressing himself, it is a free world. If this is his way of getting a date, so be it. If he is intoxicated, he looks like he is having a lot of fun (I just hope he has a ride an he doesn't have to drive home).
Instead he gets rediculed by the videographer and the iranian.com bloggers.
bye the Way, I loved that first song, what is the name of the song? please post it on the blog.
In summary, chill out, have a glass of tea with "ghand", a glass of wine or roll up some weed. But let people be!
