Some of the best and brightest minds seem to have banded their ironically overly optimistic hopes together and bet the proverbial farm on the now legendary "Deal with Iran".
Surprisingly or not surprisingly even Fareed Zakaria the latest graduate of the Sanjay Gupta school of "How to succeed in American media". Although possessing an acceptably intelligent intellect, sadly even Zakaria seems to think there is hope. Or maybe that's just what the editors of Time magazine were expecting from their check and him in his overly optimistic piece.
None of these self appointed and white America anointed pundits gives one damn about the people of Iran mind you. The sole point and only purpose of their rah rah'ing now is to appear to be rooting for "a more safer world". The assumption and belief being suspended in all of this is that Iran is being stopped from developing the bomb.
And that is the Grand Illusion of 2014.
Worse than paid for pundits in their undies PR'ing on their iPads is the various governments painted into a singular object deigned to confuse everyone into changing the channel as soon as they come across the so called P5+1 thingey.
And this is a good thing too, because if anyone bothered to care once they were comfortably numbed into complacency and made mute by the assuring words "Deal with Iran".
None of this mind you or rather all of this is repositioned to completely ignore not just the rights of Iranians that since 1979 have been successfully trampled into a dust finer than the bones of Cyrus, but ironically along with the annoying hopes and dreams of Iranians to be free! the West and especially an increasingly ambivalent US is selling off any remnants of its claim to support the worlds huddled masses with long lost aspirations of freedom and democracy.
Indeed "Freedom's just another world for nothin' left to lose". In this case with the West perceiving they have "something to lose" if they don't get the barest verbal agreements from Iran now, hence the eagerness with which they are willing to abandon the Iranian people, a most easy sacrifice given their apparent inability to even mouth the words "Help Us" from behind their Bazari financed Chinese and Russian contractor built gilded cages.
Wait did he just say "gilded"? Yes he did. Have you seen Tehran and just about every major Iranian city recently? Go ahead Google Tehran -> Images. A recent arrival and his not surprisingly overweight wife said this just last week, "Everyone knows what's wrong, they are just too afraid to say anything." So yes, the cage is gilded.
To those of us who seem to be conscious and unplugged from this "Matrix" of delusion about the reality of what Iran is, the solution that seems most obvious is the truth.
Which is infuriatingly absent from any of the negotiations between these traditionally dishonest brokers.
