Iran: Shoot

Balatarin

How times have changed. We used to read, "Iranians going to Iraq and defend the Holy shrines of Islam".

Now we read, "Shi'ite warriors march into Iraq to defend their shrines."

And that is a huge step.

Now I hear:

"Iranians are the champions of Asia".

"Iran has a clean sheet"

Iran's defence has been immaculate. Be it in the war front, or on the pitch, it has been undefeated.

As I write this, the game with Argentina will start in a few hours. And we will show that we can defend even against Messi.

But Iranians are inherently passive people. For many years people thought, that Islam would fire up Iran, to create that Caliphate the Shi'ite clergy scream about.

All that war war, fell on deaf ears. But attack Iran, and you will be pushed back. And in essence, that is what happened, when Saddam attacked Iran.

The Spirit of Iran, as enshrined in the Zend-Avesta, is non-violent and believes in Free Will. No hard nosed bad tempered Believer, will be able to win against a non-violent temperament.

As such, our boys in Brazil, are seen as gentlemen, who are masters of strategic defence. They have been under the duress of petty financing.

The Iran team has not been allowed, to have friendlies with the top notch teams, due to all the stringent controls placed on them by the Shi'ite politicians.

Team sport in the world, began in Iran, with the invention of Chogan (Polo), going back to the moment we domesticated the horse, for the first time in world history, some 20,000 years ago.

Comradery and team spirit started in Iran. How do you think we managed to create the world's largest empires, three times, each three hundred years long?

But ironically in present day, our great athletes are the ones who manage on their own, without much government help. We are champions in weightlifting and martial arts.

And so I will pray for our men to march forward and shoot. But by the same token I wish that no one goes and follows the Shi'ite politicians, and shoots a bullet in Iraq.

Go Iran!

I like your last paragraph the most:

"And so I will pray for our men to march forward and shoot. But by the same token I wish that no one goes and follows the Shi'ite politicians, and shoots a bullet in Iraq."

Rouhani vows to protect Karbala shrine, let him go there himself, no one will stop him, , he can sneak in tonight, just don't drag along other Iranians with him!

750,000 Iranians died in the I-I war, not again, never again!
We need to revise the 2009 protest slogan into
"No to Gaza, No to Iraq, I only sacrifice my life for Iran!"

Yes by all means lets update our slogans! That has worked so well in the past. If only we could come up with a really cool slogan that will solve everything.

Slogans are fun attempts to control people.

'I wish that no one goes and follows the Shi'ite politicians, and shoots a bullet in Iraq."
why? what is better than sending thousands of rev guards and basijis and bring them back in body bags? These guys keep telling us martyrdom is the sweetest thing for a moslem and now they have a chance to prove it so let them go and explore it. better them than us!

Their whole concept is wrong and must not be encouraged. Life is the only solution. Our moral duty is to educate, no matter what. No human deserves death no matter what "Belief" they may have. Never justify death.

Yes in a dream world for sure, but this is a real world and I rather see these goons in body bag than have a beer with them in a local pub or local hossenieh ershad!

This is really simple: either these goons are the enemy or they are not. if they are then the hell with them. The more of them i see on their way to visit the 72 virgins the better it is. if they are not then there is no issue, so no point whining about IRI they in they out.

They are people we have to live with after regime change. We do not want to have blood on our hands like they do now. Otherwise they would have gone in a bloodiest civil war a long long time ago.

Well this is good news for them, they will be around for decades and will continue with their looting, raping and killing while the opposition contemplates on the on treating them with kid glove.

The non-violent opposition are more united and larger than them.

Iranians can be violent if we have to. Our ancestors were warriors who built multiple empires on the skulls of the oppressors. Peace for the peaceful violence for the violent.

Please give me an example.

Sassanids wiped out a whole city of lakhmid arabs when they decided to raid Pars province once. The Persians on that day killed every single arab, from man, woman to child, they did it by slitting their wrists open and watching them all die slowly, so they could see their loved ones dieaswell.

This method, no matter how cruel it may seem, would have saved Iran if we had used it on the arabs during the muslim-Zoroastrian wars.

No where in that article does it mention what you said. In fact it seems the attack to the Arab was in retaliation just when Iran was in civil war.

If you really want to point at errors in the administration of Iran, you need to look at the actions of Kartir. He massacred the Christians after they converted thousands of Iranians.

All of this happened as the world moved from a philosophical understanding of Ohrmazd and Ahriman to a religious one propogated by Mani. But that is a long story.

Ali, im talking about shapour.

"""Shapur II crushed the Lakhmid army and captured al-Hirah. He ordered the extermination of its population in retaliation of their raids on Pars. In this, the young Shapur acted much more violently than was normal at the time in order to demonstrate to both the Arab Kingdoms and the Persian nobility his power and authority. Shapur's title in Arabic is Zol 'Aktāf meaning owner of the shoulders, as he pierced the shoulders of his captives and chained them to each other by a rope. He installed Aus ibn Qallam and gave the city autonomy, thus making the kingdom a buffer zone between the Persian Empire's mainland and the territory of other Arabs in the Peninsula"""

Iranians should do this more often to their enemies, the ones who actually deserve it that is.

I will just be repeating what I have said elsewhere in these comments. As an Astrologer I cannot condone death.

BehrouzBahmani

Behrouz Bahmani We're just trying to [change] the system / But it's hard from a distance / So it's time for a new better way

The Iranian national football team is the best example of not achieving any sort of success on the field, because of not having anything to play for.

Certainly there is no national pride. Certainly nothing to proud of now. And this government has done everythgin in it;s power to silence ANY sort of nostalgia for ancient Persia, and of course even our myth of the Shahnameh is completely denounced as heretic nonsense.

You could argue we could fight for the beauty of our women, which is a thing, but even that is dissuaded.

So no one should be surprised when #44th team in the world goes up against the #5th bets team in the world, a draw is impossible and a 1:0 is a miracle. Unfortunately losing by even just one goal to Argentina, is still a loss, and proof that we cannot compete. Even in a silly football match.

What makes this continued record of losing football matches harder to take is that this isn't even Iran's collection of best players. I watch Iranian football league games, and I'm sorry, this bunch of mental patients in NO WAY represents the best Iranian football has to offer.

But then again when you have a government hat spits of this sort of thing, the only one making it on the team is going to be a compliant sellout. To win, you need to field Iran's worst bad boys. And these losers aren't them.

Although from all the product in their hairstyles, it is good to see that Iran still has so much oil left...

BehrouzBahmani

Behrouz Bahmani We're just trying to [change] the system / But it's hard from a distance / So it's time for a new better way

Now that the silliness of the game is over, the government of Iran can get back to the business of fomenting war with the Sunnis.

Go Mahdi Army!

Amazing that the IRI Strategy, which has worked so well for the IRI itself in Iran, was not incorporated by Team Melli in brazil. All they needed to do was to get some players driving ambulances on the field and using the ambulances to drive over the Argentinian Players and maybe setting up some torture chambers on the side for opposing fans and players alike, then the IRI team would have had a true shot at winning. Where did they put the motor bikes with their club wielding thugs to intimidate the opponents? As a result of NOT bringing the finest developments and techniques of the IRI to brazil see how Team Melli is now out classed in every way, exactly like the regime they are the product of.
