AL-ARISH, Egypt: Egyptian authorities on Friday refused to allow an Israeli truck carrying 32 tons of tiles into Egypt after high radiation levels were detected in the shipment, a security official said. “Egypt stopped the Israeli truck from entering Egypt … because radiation detection equipment showed a high presence of radioactive material in the cargo,” the official told AFP. Cairo’s official Middle East News Agency reported that the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority was notified and expected to send a technical delegation to check the shipment. – AFP
