ATIQ RAHIMI WINS GONCOURT LITERARY PRIZE 2008

Afghan Author Atiq Rahimi wins France’s Top Literary Prize for first Novel Sangue written in French entitled “Syngué sabour. Pierre de patience”.

The Award which is the French equivalent of the Pulitzer was created in 1903 and has awarded such great writers as Marcel Proust, Andre Malraux, Celine, Henri Troyat.
