In a crucial match held in Abu Zabi, a few hours ago, Iran’s Team Melli tied with UAE 1-1 to keep hopes alive for qualification for the next Soccer World Cup in 2010.
UAE lost all hopes but they have to continue playing their games till the end. Iran played a bad game during the first half due to the lack of preparatory games, but the second half was Iran’s and the returning legend Captain Karim Bagheri equalized the match in the last minutes with a beatiful header.
In this game, Team Melli’s goal keeper, Rahmati, was chosen the best player due to his vital savings, in fact if it was not for his crucial savings Iran might have lost the game.
In the very last minutes, Iran had the chance to score the winning goal, but the new-comer Gholam Rezai lost the opportunity.
