Without any economic incentive or the “heraasat” officers list in hand checking on the presence of their assigned number of employees, hundred of thousands of people from all walks of life willingly braved the frigid Washington weather to be present at the inauguration of their elected leader. His term of office at the most will be eight years and not a lifetime deal. As per democratic tradition, the outgoing leader shook hand, embraced the new leader and faded away to enjoy the rest of his life. No death to this or that was uttered, no stones or Molotov cocktails were thrown at any embassy, no national flag of other countries desecrated. There were no suicide volunteer sign up kiosks or headband wearing foaming at the mouth student-louts roaming around. Except occasional grimace due to the biting cold not a unhappy face to be found.
