Tehran, Jan 30, 2009: The number of South Koreans applying for tourist visas to Iran has quadrupled following The Glory of Persia traveling exhibit in Seoul.


After The Glory of Persia successfully toured Japan, South Korea welcomed the dazzling exhibit of artifacts dating back to the 6th century BCE. The exhibition introduces Iranian history, culture and art to other nations, presstv reported.

The National Museum of Korea displayed over 210 artifacts, dating from the 5th millennium BCE to the end of the Sassanid dynastic era (226-651 CE) from April 22 to August 31, 2008. After the Seoul exhibition, Glory went to the Daegu National Museum from September 29 to December 21, 2008.

After the 350,000 South Koreans who visited the exhibition felt the essence of Persian culture, history and civilization, they became eager to understand more about the Persian civilization for themselves.

Statistics released by the Iranian tourism office show that the number of South Korean tourists applying for an Iranian tourist visa has quadrupled since the exhibit… >>>
