Iran’s Supreme Leader, who is visiting the province of Kurdistan, went on a mountain hike at Mount Abidar located in the provincial city of Sanandaj.
Sanandaj is the capital of the Iranian province of Kurdistan. At the latest population census, which was carried out on 25 October 2006, it had a population of 316,862. The city of Sanandaj is the capital of the province, and lies at a distance of 512 km from Tehran, 1,480 m above sea level.
