Seminar on Imam Khomeini held in Karachi Islamabad, June 3, IRNA – A seminar themed ‘Impact of Imam Khomeini’s thoughts on Iran’s Progress’ was held in Karachi, capital of the Sindh province. Addressing the event, Iran’s consul general in Karachi, Mohammad Zamani said that Imam’s personality has influenced the world, especially the Islamic world, in a wonderful way.
Hossein Zahedi, an instructor with Karachi University, referred to Imam’s decisive leadership in the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and hailed his role in strengthening the Revolution.
A number of Karachi officials commented on Imam’s personality at the same event.
Imam Khomeini was born in Khomein, Markazi province in 1902 and passed away on June 3, 1989.
Ceremonies to commemorate his departure are held in Iran and abroad every year.
