In a press conference call this morning, Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin announced she will not run for re-election and is stepping down as governor. She had a brief statement. She took no questions.Her commissioners and Lt. Governor were with her at her home. Palin did not relinquish the reins of the state to the Lt. Governor while running for vice president.
