For a long long time I always used a personal photo for my avatar. At a certain point I got sick of looking at myself and I decided to use some bright starry configuration instead for the roshan leitmotiv. But then I started playing around with that one, using different images of the sun, moon or stars in varying degrees of splendour, depending on my mood. When I use the enormous blazing day-glo sun, you can be sure I’m in a very good mood. When I use the dark black sky with the tiny pinpoint of a star you can just barely see, you can be sure I’m depressed.
So now I usually just use my photo when I am trying to get the point across to someone or someones that I really am a flesh and blood ndividual that exists, lives somewhere, sleeps, eats, has a social security number and so forth.
But I also have this pink hijab avatar that I use–it is definitely NOT me…) and there’s a specific story behind why and how I looked for that graphic and why I ever decided to use it as an avatar and what in fact it means for me. But today someone just told me what they think it means and I found it very surprising. So the topic of this blog shall be “What Does My Pink Hijab Avatar Mean?”
And I want you to write it. What do you think my pink hijab avatar means?
Please do not be too analytical. Just…since you’ve seen it, what, if any message, impression, did you feel it conveyed?
In the absence of quizzes (the second silent coup–the expulsion of the goldfish was much televised but the liquidation of the quizzes happened veeeery quietly behind closed doors–best answer gets sad afarin AND a cheesy visual from me.
After which I shall divulge all…
