For them, anything we can amend
For them, all rules we can bend
Their loyalty we do commend
Forever on them, we do depend
With them, only beginning no end
That’s why they are called FRIEND
They are a gift, they are Godsend
In emergencies, they hyperextend
Being helpful is what they intend
On all occasions, they are joined
Towards us, they are always kind
To us, anything they can lend
No break-ups, nothing to mend
With them, fun can neverend
They can never ever offend
Trusting, truthful – they never pretend
Can turn a village into Queensland
My friends, I always do recommend
To all good people, they are send
In fun ‘n frolic, they set a trend
From bad to good, they can upend
True feelings, they never vend
Get together over the weekend
A helping hand, they always extend
Such souls, no one can ever yend
They mean same – in English or Zend
